Christmas morning breakfast Esther style

Yes, it is true; I will not be making/baking or consuming any cinnamon rolls for Christmas.  No cinnamon rolls for Christmas?! I know, sad right? I just HATE making them.
I am cursed when it comes to baking bready things.  I am pretty sure it is a yeast problem.  I use old yeast, my water is too warm when I add my yeast, yada, yada, yada... whatever the problem may be they never turn out. I decided this year I did not want to endure another hard cinnamon roll and I do not yet have the heart to buy them at the store.   I have decided to change it up this year. So what, if I have always had cinnamon rolls for Christmas breakfast for as long as I can remember? It is time for a change!  And what is this change you may ask? (I am so glad you did because I was going to tell you anyway).  Blueberry muffins not just any blueberry muffins mind you, browned butter, blueberry, muffins. Yummy. Have you ever baked with browned butter? Delicious. Browned butter makes everything better. Promise.  We will not just be eating blueberry muffins for breakfast we will also be having tomato, basil, frittata. Frittata is one of our favorite breakfasts. I basically throw anything I feel like in a skillet with a lot of garlic, basil, and cheese. I pour about 6-7 beat up eggs (with some milk) over the yummy, garlic, tomato skillet.  I cook on the stove top until it starts to bubble on the side of the skillet, then place it in the oven to broil for about 5 minutes.  It is a very filling, scrumptious, meal.  But, there is always room for blueberry muffins of course! Along with this meal we will be having numerous beverages. For some reason I firmly believe that the more beverages you have the better the meal will be.  We will be having orange juice, coffee, water, and hopefully left-over eggnog from the evening before (we make homemade eggnog every Christmas Eve). We will be sitting at our Christmas morning breakfast with our frittata, blueberry muffins, coffee, orange juice, water (I have to have water with every meal) and eggnog.  I am excited about my Christmas morning breakfast (even without the yummy cinnamon rolls). I hope you all have a very Merry Christmas.
