Welcome! We are four sisters, four out of ten children who grew up in a bustling home filled with love. We are spread across the country now, and we meet here to reconnect and reminisce. We also share our (sometimes varied) thoughts on faith, family, food, and whatever else fits our fancy! You will see guest posts by other family members on occasion. We are so glad you can journey with us!

11 months old!
My baby would not fit in his Daddy's arms like that today,
at almost 25lbs I am not sure how much longer I will be able to hold him at all! I cannot believe that my baby boy is 11 months old. It really is incredible. This time last year I had a enormous belly and now I have a walking boy. I do not think I pictured Motherhood like this... it is so much harder and yet much more enjoyable than I ever imagined. I never thought I would enjoy Motherhood this much! What a joy this child has been for me. I was not sure I was ready (I am still not sure I am ...) but the Lord saw fit to make me a Mother and I know his plans for me are good "plans to prosper me and not to harm me, plans to give me a hope and a future." -Jeremiah 29:11 I am looking forward with perhaps hesitant excitement for my son's first birthday next month. What a big milestone! How fast it all has gone. I was at a wedding this past weekend and for the first time during a wedding I could relate to the parents as their children walked out of their family and entered another; how wonderful and how deeply sad! We parents have to endure a lot for the sake of our children but that is all good and how it was meant to be. I have to tell you, it was weird being able to sympathize with the parents of the bride and groom not sure how I got here so fast... I know that before I know it, I will see my young son fall in love and marry his young bride; that is just how time goes. I want to be preparing for that day even now. I want to give my children away willingly and not with resentment. I think my Mother did that very well and I want the same for my children. I am raising my son to be another women's husband, he will not be mine forever... That is good and how God intended it; but, for now he is still my little baby and I am now going to go steal a few snuggles from him :)
