Our First Fire

Yesterday and today have been cold in Virginia - not cool, actually cold!  There was even a little snow this morning (our first of the year.)  My husband made a lovely fire and we snuggled and read books together - all four of us.  It was wonderful. 

We've never had a real fireplace in our home  - we are thrilled!  The flames, the crackle, but most of all the smell of a burning log is cozy.  Today has felt almost like Christmas morning (minus the gifts, tree, etc.) but we spent the morning in our pajamas, snuggling, reading and playing together.  A perfect day.
