Creativity at Work

My mother always brings out the creative spirit in me. Actually, she is just fun and creative herself, and I trail behind, enjoying her ideas and the end result they display. The first day she was here, she pulled out a goody bag filled with beads, stickers, pipe cleaners, foam shapes, balloons, and more.

Egg Mobile

Over the span of a few days, we all worked on decorating paper eggs and then strung them up together into a mobile! Mom stood high on a stool to string yarn from one curtain rod to another, tie it taut, and hang the mobile on the "tightrope." She is really good at coming up with creative solutions when you can't find a place to hang something!

I think her creativity is one of the (many) reasons that preschoolers love her. She is an endless source of exciting activities that will entertain and teach them for hours. I'm so glad she left her amazing goody bag here. We will miss her terribly, but will enjoy the memories and fun that the projects from that bag will create.
