My garden

We did it! We planted our garden. I was beginning to think it was never going to happen. We have been having torrential downpours here. But, on Saturday evening we got it planted! Because we have had such rain I have not watered it once! (That is my kind of garden).

We decided to keep our garden really, really simple this year.  This is our first attempt at a "real" garden, so we are trying to keep it as idiot proof as possible.  Tomatoes, broccoli, and peppers (and herbs) are the only things we have in our garden right now. I am wanting to add zucchini and cucumbers. If I manage to make it to the store before planting season has completely passed us by I will get these two planted as well!

We also planted flowers! Mainly because it makes my heart happy and they are so beautiful to look at.

I already have a big beautiful bloom on my Lilly (just in time for Easter!)

Isn't it beautiful? I thought so too!

I also had a really great helper! He makes everything more fun.

I am hoping to give you all monthly updates on my garden so you can see it grow too! (and hopefully that will help remind me to water my plants!)  I love little more than fresh tomatoes from the garden and fresh herbs!
