If you don't understand how a woman can both love her sister dearly and want to wring her neck at the same time, then you were probably an only child. - Linda Sunshine
Maude: Ahh... Sisters. I have five of them. In our family the line-up is: Brother, Sister, Sister, Maude, Sister, Lizzi, Brother, Esther, Brother & Brother (twins). So I am sandwiched on both sides by sisters. Growing up I was closer with some sisters than others at different times in my life depending on my age but they have all always meant the world to me.
A quote I love from Pride & Prejudice is "There are few people in this world whom I love and even fewer of whom I think well." To me that is a good quote for family. The idea that even if you don't "think well" of some of your family members you still love them - that is what being siblings is all about. I am fortunate enough to think well of all of my siblings and I love them even more.

Esther: I am notorious for getting into messes. I am slightly like Amelia Bedelia. I was the sister who would put on my big sisters pretty prom dresses went outside and pretended to be a Princess or Queen. Of course the dresses were much too big for me and they would drag in the dirt and grass, leaving not-so-pretty stains behind. I had some unhappy reactions from my sisters about that; but why? They got to wear the dresses and be all pretty in them, I just wanted to wear them and be pretty to. I think I was often the one my siblings wanted to "wring the neck of" but I certainly know that they love me dearly despite all my mishaps!
Lizzi: Interestingly enough, I don't remember many instances growing up when I felt like "wringing" one of my sister's necks. I suppose there were such times, but I don't remember any of them at the moment, so I guess nothing that scarred me for life! Life does get more complicated upon reaching adulthood and so now I could name certain times when wringing a neck or two might have sounded enticing. The quote is completely true, though. I have always loved my siblings dearly and nothing could change that. They are forever close to my heart- no matter what.
